Lampeter is an unincorporated community and census-designated place located in West Lampeter Township in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania with a zip code of 17537. The community is located along Pennsylvania Route 741, west of Strasburg. It is a suburb of Lancaster City, Pennsylvania. As of the 2010 census the population was 1,669 residents. The community was named after Lampeter, in Wales.[2]
The Lampeter Fire Station is and has been an all volunteer fire company for over 96 years. Each year for three days in September, the Lampeter Fire Company hosts the Lampeter Fair. This is an annual event that gives locals in the community a chance to exhibit animals, produce, and artwork. It is also a fundraiser for the Fire Company and brings the larger community together.

- Lampeter Village
Lampeter Village is in the Lampeter-Strasburg School District. It is one of the smallest neighborhoods in Lampeter, with its main road being Lampeter Road.
- Pioneer Woods
Pioneer Woods is an apartment neighborhood located off of Lampeter Road. Pioneer Woods is divided into 2 different sections. It has 1 bedroom apartments, 2 bedroom apartments, 3 bedroom apartments, townhouses, and an office.
- Applecroft
Applecroft is a well known middle class neighborhood in Lampeter off of Lampeter Road.
- Candlestick
Candlestick is a well known middle class neighborhood in Lampeter off of Village Road. The "Busted Bean Cafe" is located at the entrance of this neighborhood. The cafe opened in the spring of 2012.
- Hunter's Ridge
Hunter's Ridge is located in a rural area. It is an upper-middle-class neighborhood far off from Lampeter Road.
Neighboring town
Willow Street is the biggest neighborhood in West Lampeter Township. Willow Street is more suburban than rural like other neighborhoods in Lampeter. One of the Lampeter Fire Department[3] buildings is located in Willow Street. Willow Street features Upper Willow Street and Downtown Willow Street which is on a one-way road. Willow Street also features a variety of Citgos and Turkey Hills as well as Two Cousins Pizza.
