Cardinal Carter Catholic High School, often shortened to Cardinal Carter,[citation needed] is a International Baccalaureate[citation needed] high school[citation needed] in Aurora,[citation needed] Ontario,[citation needed] Canada[citation needed] in the York Catholic District School Board.[citation needed] The school principal is Frances Fraser.[citation needed] The vice principals are Nicholas Galatianos,[citation needed] Derek Chan,[citation needed] and Christian Scenna.[citation needed] The IB coordinator is Derek Chan.[citation needed]

Cardinal Carter was established in 1989,[citation needed] commencing operation for grades eight and nine at Our Lady of the Annunciation elementary school.[citation needed] Once construction of the school was completed, service boundaries were defined by the school board to alleviate overcrowding of other Roman Catholic schools in the region,[citation needed] notably St. Robert[citation needed] and St. Elizabeth[citation needed] high schools in Thornhill, and Sacred Heart Catholic High School in Newmarket.[citation needed] It takes its name after Cardinal Gerald Emmett Carter, former Archbishop of Toronto.[citation needed] It is also sometimes confused with Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts.[citation needed]

The school is located on a private campus directly across the street from the York Catholic District School Board.[citation needed] It has numerous elementary feeder schools within its service boundaries:
