About
W. Erskine Johnston, public school,[1] was opened in 1969 and is located in Kanata's Beaverbrook neighbourhood. It accommodates students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6. The school is named after a member and deputy speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, William Erskine Johnston. This school has a grade 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 Middle French Immersion program as well as a before and after school program.
Originally a K-8 school the grades 7 and 8 were moved to an expanded Earl of March Secondary School starting in September 2015.

Its location at 50 Varley Drive places it next to Georges Vanier Catholic School at the address of 40 Varley Drive.
