American singer Selena Gomez has released three studio albums, one compilation album, two extended plays, twenty-eight singles (including seven as a featured artist) and three promotional singles. As of October 2015, Gomez has sold 6.7 million albums and 22 million singles worldwide.[1] As of May 2017, she has sold 24.3 million songs and 3.4 million albums in the United States.[2]
In 2008, Gomez first signed to Hollywood Records.[3] With her former band Selena Gomez & the Scene, she released three top-ten studio albums, Kiss & Tell (2009), A Year Without Rain (2010) and When the Sun Goes Down (2011) on the US Billboard 200 chart.[4] Gomez's first EP, Another Cinderella Story, was released on June 16, 2009, by Razor & Tie.[5] She released her first solo album, Stars Dance (2013), which debuted atop the US Billboard 200 chart,[6] and also reached number one in Canada.[7] It was preceded by the release of its lead single, "Come & Get It", which reached the top ten in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.[8][9][10] Having spent seven years with Hollywood Records, Gomez signed a recording contract with Interscope Records in 2014.[11] To officially end her contract with Hollywood Records, Gomez released the compilation album For You (2014).
Her second studio album, Revival (2015), peaked at number one in the US.[12] Three of its singles—"Good for You", "Same Old Love" and "Hands to Myself"—peaked within the top ten in the United States and Canada.[8][9] With these three singles, Gomez becomes the sixth woman to score at least three number-one singles on the Mainstream Top 40 chart from a single set.[13] Since then, she was featured on several collaborations, including "We Don't Talk Anymore", "It Ain't Me", "Wolves" and "Taki Taki", which all achieved international success. Between 2011 and 2018, Gomez had a streak of 16 consecutive top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, which is the longest active run of any artist.[14] Gomez's third studio album, Rare (2020), reached the number-one spot on the Billboard 200, becoming her third consecutive number one album.[15] Its lead single, "Lose You to Love Me", topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming her first number-one song in the US.[16]
