Dafne María Keen Fernández (born 4 January 2005)[3] is a British-Spanish actress.[4] She played the role of Ana "Ani" Cruz Oliver in the television series The Refugees, and the mutant Laura Kinney / X-23 in the 2017 film Logan. As of 2019 she plays Lyra Belacqua/Silvertongue in the BBC/HBO television series His Dark Materials.

Life and career

Keen was born in Madrid.[5] She is the daughter of British actor Will Keen, and Galician actress,[6][7] theatre director and writer María Fernández Ache.[8] A paternal great-grandfather was Edward Curzon, 6th Earl Howe;[9][10] her aunts are poet Alice Oswald and writer Laura Beatty.[11][12]

Keen made her acting debut in 2014 alongside her father in the television series The Refugees, where she played Ana "Ani" Cruz Oliver.[13]

Keen starred in the 2017 film Logan as Laura, the child clone of Wolverine.[14] From 2019 she plays Lyra Belacqua, the heroine of Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials trilogy, in the television adaptation.[4]
