Angelica is a female given name and a variant of Angelika. It is pronounced an-JEL-ih-kuh in English or ahn-je-LEE-kah in Italian.[1]

Angelica comes from the Latin angelicus, "angelic", which in turn is ultimately descended from the Greek άγγελος (ángelos) meaning "Messenger of god (angel)".[1]Also angel (messenger from above)
