Bahraich railway station is a main railway station in Bahraich district, Uttar Pradesh. Its code is BRK. It serves Bahraich city. The station consists of 3 platforms. 2 for broad gauge and one for meter gauge. The platform are well sheltered. It has all facilities that a standard railway station have like water, sanitation, recreation, seating etc..[1]

Bahraich is on Indian Railways route map and provide a newly constructed broad gauge line, running from Gonda to Bahraich. The trains on the section hasn't been started and it seems that the route will not be inaugurated till next year, 2019 general elections. Central rail minister Piyush Goyal and state minister for railways Manoj Sinha showed no interest when asked about the commencement of this newly constructed railway line on Twitter.

The rail line will connect other major districts of Uttar Pradesh with Bahraich like Basti, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Deoria etc. Railways are planning to run 6 trains on the route including one MAIL/EXPRESS and Others Passenger and DMU trains, however these are only possibilities.

Railways is also thinking to construct a BG Line from BRK (Bahraich) to KLD (Khalilabad). The survey has completed and the work will start soon. The BRK-KLD rail lines will pass through 328 villages via Shravasti. N.E.R with consultation to Indian railways planned to create Electrified line from GD-BRK. other railways stations near BRK/Bahraich
