Bexhill College is a sixth form college with a long history[citation needed] of excellent[citation needed] post 16 education. In September 2004, the college moved into brand new buildings situated in Penland Road, Bexhill-On-Sea. As of 2006 the college attained a grade 3 in its OFSTED report.
History
The college became an IB World School in May 2006.[2] In 2011 Ofsted awarded the college a good grade.
General information
As of 2016, the school enrols about 1500 full-time students.[1]
Nearly all the college’s day-time students are between 16 and 19 years old although there are students younger than the age of 16 attending the college.
The college is co-located with post-16 students of Glyne Gap School. The Glyne Gap students have been given their own open-air space within the college grounds.
The current principal is Karen Hucker.
The Bexhill College Theatre was opened by the comedian Eddie Izzard in December 2013. The theatre comprises a performance space of 13m by 5m with seating for 200. The seating may be retracted.
