Camperdown railway station is located on the Port Fairy line, in Victoria, Australia. It serves the town of Camperdown, and opened on 2 July 1883, as the terminus of the line from Colac. On 23 April 1887, the line was extended to Terang.[1][2]

The station was once the junction for the Timboon line, which branched off at the western end of the station.[2] All signalling and safeworking equipment at the junction were abolished by September 1987.[3]

The refreshments rooms at Camperdown closed in March 1976.[4] The passenger facilities were refurbished in late 1984/early 1985.[5] It was also in 1985 that the former freight centre closed, with the freight office demolished by August of the same year.[6]

In September 1988, the former No. 2 and No. 4 roads, and the Shell, Mobil and the locomotive and works sidings were all abolished.[7] A number of signal posts were also abolished, along with a ground lever frame.[7]

The Warrnambool freight train crosses the weekday morning Up train in the crossing loop. The station consists of a waiting room, ticket/customer service desk and toilets.
