Banjo and Conker games[edit]

I think it's a bit of a stretch to call them part of the Mario Universe. I imagine someone's trying link Mario to Donkey Kong to Diddy Kong to Diddy Kong Racing, where Conker and Banjo were playable characters, but I don't believe there's any connection beyond be characters in a go-kart game.
