Opposed speedy move request

[edit]
  • Sexual assault is a stand-alone article that does not redirect to sexual abuse, the definition of which states Sexual abuse is a term used for a persistent pattern of sexual assaults. I don't think they mean the same, but I'm hesitant to open up a full discussion on such a sensitive topic. It does seem that sexual assault doesn't have its own category, but does it need to? IOC Consensus Statement

[edit]

https://bjsm.bmj.com/content/50/17/1019 The 2016 "International Olympic Committee consensus statement: harassment and abuse (non-accidental violence) in sport" appears to be the most important current international regulation of organised (professional) sports concerning sexual assault in sports. It adds: "This consensus statement extends the 2007 IOC Consensus Statement on Sexual Harassment and Abuse in Sport". Any future main article on the topic (which I might create myself) should take this into account, perhaps even put front and centre regarding the legal basis on which incidents/allegations are to be handled.
