Doğtaş is a Turkish furniture producer and retail chain.[1]

History

The company was founded in 1972 as a furniture workshop in the town of Biga, Çanakkale, south west of Istanbul. From 1987 the famıly began to expand, opening shops in the Çanakkale area and then establishing a national network of agents. Doğtaş began exporting furniture in 1994, to Albania. Specialising in beds and sofas today Doğtaş produces furniture for export and the domestic market, including the 200+ stores the company has in Turkey and abroad, including 3 stores in London.[2] Since 2007 Doğtaş have carried CE marking and in recent years have worked with well-known designers such as Atıl Kutoğlu and Ece Sükan. In 2012 Doğtaş acquired Kelebek Mobiliya, another national furniture brand in Turkey.[3][4][5]
