Submission declined on 10 June 2024 by TheNuggeteer (talk). This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies. Declined by TheNuggeteer 6 months ago. |

isybank S.p.A. (originally Banca ITB S.p.A., then Banca 5 S.p.A.) is an Italian credit institution active as a digital bank.[2]
It is part of the Intesa Sanpaolo group since the end of 2016.[3][4][5]
History
[edit]Banca ITB (2008–2016)
[edit]The banking institution was founded with the name of Banca ITB in July 2008 through the joint action of Rosario Bifulco (through Bootes), Francesco Marrara (with Ayperos), Dario Rapisarda, Marcello Sala, Lottomatica, Italian Tobacconists Federation (through Arianna), Wise Sgr, Intesa Sanpaolo and Toni Rossi through Pharos and Logista.[6] The intent was to create a bank exclusively dedicated to tobacconists,[7] to whom it could offer current accounts, overdrafts, deposits, financing, supplier payments, electronic invoicing and collection and payment services. At the same time, these services were also made available to citizens through agreements for the payment of postal bills, F24, MAV, RAV, top-ups of telephone cards and prepaid cards, as well as for the payment of INPS vouchers.[8]
Banca 5 (2016–2022)
[edit]At the end of 2016 the Intesa Sanpaolo group,[9][10] already owner of 10% of the shares, took over the remaining 90% of Banca ITB with the payment of 153 million euros, which was simultaneously renamed Banca 5.[11] The new name refers to the number of products that the banking group intended to offer to the new customer target to be reached through the tobacconist network, i.e. the segments of the population that are not very banked: cards, loans, accounts, insurance and services.[12]
isybank (2023–present)
[edit]In the broader internal reorganization plan, the bank took on the new name of isybank from 1 January 2023 in anticipation of the relaunch as the group's digital bank,[13] which became operational on 15 June 2023.[14][15] The group's objective is to attract young people customers who rarely frequent the physical branch,[16] as demonstrated by the transfer of holders of an Intesa Sanpaolo youth account to isybank, completed in October of the same year.[17]
