Lego Cube is a Lego-themed sandbox open-world video game developed by Tencent Games and Next Studios and published by The Lego Group. It was released on January 11, 2019 exclusively for Chinese markets. The game was soft launched in August 2019. The game is available on Windows, iOS, and Android. The game is believed to be a combination of Lego Worlds, Minecraft, and Roblox.[1][2]
Development
[edit]The game had partnered with Dubai Tourism to develop the map of Dubai in the game which features a few of Dubai's attractions such as Palm Jumeirah, Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, and Ski Dubai.[3][4]
Gameplay
[edit]The player can freely explore a randomly generated infinite 3D world that they can alter in different ways and in which they can build constructions of all kinds combining tools and materials. The player also has an inventory and a simple control system. Each of the worlds is related to a construction game environment.[5]
Players can develop skills including 3D design, construction, building and coding in a safe space guarded by protection functionality for user registration and player-to-player interaction, parental controls and identity/age verifications.[6]
