- Comment: It is already in List of Roblox games#Piggy but is not notable enough for a standalone article. Repeated submissions have not demonstrated any notability, you should stop and work on something else. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 16:58, 13 January 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: As other reviewers have said, the article really lacks the secondary coverage from reliable sources to be a notable topic. Much of the content is dedicated to excessive fictional details. We need to see an independent perspective that someone reliable has provided about the game. Currently, the reception section is uncited and alludes to player opinions, which is not quite hitting the mark. If there are not reliable secondary sources, like news sites or magazines that have independently expressed views about the game, this article might not be notable enough to enter the mainspace. VRXCES (talk) 08:38, 19 December 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: Cited sources need to be reliable, in-depth, and secondary. 90%+ of the currently cited sources are from other wikis which are not suitable as they are user-generated and not reliable sources. ~Liancetalk 05:49, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
Piggy.[1][2] is a multimedia franchise that originally started with the titular horror game on the platform Roblox[3]. The main game, created by Kohl Couture (more commonly known as MiniToon), combines the gameplay and aesthetics of the horror game Granny and the style of the children's show Peppa Pig into a zombie apocalypse setting.[4] The main game was created on January 23, 2020 and was officially uploaded to Roblox five days later on January 28, 2020 as a public launch. Originally created as a joke game for MiniToon and his friends to play, the game expanded beyond that.[5][6]
The main game spawned a ton of official and fan-made games related to Piggy, including some others that were completely different, such as a Ronald McDonald-inspired game titled Ronald.
The game has reached over 10 billion visits and has received positive reviews, though it has received some critisicm, mostly from the Adopt Me! and Royale High fanbases. On November 24, 2022, MiniToon announced that Piggy would no longer be receiving updates (except for Build Mode and bug fixes)[7]

Gameplay
[edit]After the game's intermission is over, players can choose between 12 different maps (depending if they are in Book 1 or Book 2). After the round's map and gamemode are chosen, a starting cutscene (depending on the map chosen) will play, and after the cutscene is over, players unlock doors and perform other tasks to escape the map within a 10-minute time limit (longer in specific maps).[8] After escaping a map for the first time, the player will get a badge that corresponds with the map they completed (for example, if a player completes Carnival for the first time, they'll get the badge "Completed Carnival.") Some maps have more than 1 badge and ending to be achieved. The game's maps/chapters are:
Book 1:
- House - Chapter 1
- Station - Chapter 2
- Gallery - Chapter 3
- Forest - Chapter 4
- School - Chapter 5
- Hospital - Chapter 6
- Metro - Chapter 7
- Carnival - Chapter 8
- City - Chapter 9
- Mall - Chapter 10
- Outpost - Chapter 11
- Plant - Chapter 12
- Disorted Memory (exclusive to VIP servers)
Book 2:
- Alleys - Chapter 1
- Store - Chapter 2
- Refinery - Chapter 3
- The Safe Place - Chapter 4
- Sewers - Chapter 5
- Factory - Chapter 6 (Mid-finale to Book 2)
- Port - Chapter 7
- Ship - Chapter 8
- Docks - Chapter 9
- Temple - Chapter 10
- Camp - Chapter 11
- Lab - Chapter 12
- Heist (exclusive to VIP servers)
- Distraction (exclusive to VIP servers)
- Breakout
Limited and/or removed maps:
- Gurt - Chapter ? (unplayable chapter added as a joke for April Fools 2020)
- Winter Holiday (returns every year during the Christmas season)
- RB Battles Studio
- RB Battles Spaceship
- Mansion
- Metallica x Piggy Event
The game also has 7 selectable gamemodes, 6 of which spawn in during the intermission:
- Bot (an AI Piggy chases survivors around the map trying to catch them. For every chapter before Sewers, bots would aimlessly follow the nearest player in its vicinity until it catches them. From Sewers and beyond, bots try to look for players and move faster when they spot one.)
- Player (a random player in the server is chosen to be Piggy. The skin the Piggy is depends on what skin the player has equipped. In VIP servers, the host can choose someone to be Piggy. Player Piggies can place traps for an extra advantage over players. If the Player Piggy leaves the server, a bot will come in to take their place.)
- Player + Bot (a gamemode where a Player Piggy and a Bot are in the same round. This adds an extra layer of difficulty to the gamemode, and due to the lack of extra rewards for being a map with this gamemode, it's rarely voted in public servers. If the host chooses Player + Bot in a VIP server, it will appear in the chat as "PlayerBot." If the Player Piggy leaves in this gamemode, no extra bot will come to take their place.)
- Traitor is a gamemode in which a random player is given a knife to kill other players at the 9:00 mark. (a bot also spawns). The Traitor can win by escaping or killing all players, and the survivors can win by escaping, killing the Traitor with a firearm, or by having the bot kill the Traitor.
- Infection is a gamemode in which the selected player Piggy can turn another player into a Piggy by touching them, hence the gamemode's name.
- Swarm is a gamemode in which a new bot spawns every minute after the main bot spawns. There will be a total of 10 bots (if the match goes on to the point where there is 0:30 left on the timer).
- Tag is a gamemode similar to the real-life game, at the 9:30 mark, everyone, except for 1 random player, will turn into a Crawling Trap or the Mousy skin without legs (if they have it equipped). The taggers must then tag the un-turned player. When they get tagged, they turn into a Crawling Trap or Mousy, and the tagger who tagged them will turn into a normal player. This procedure continues until the game ends or the lone un-tagged player escapes the map.
Plot
[edit]Piggy: Book 1
[edit]Book 1 begins with the Player arriving at the Piggy Family's house in search of Georgie Piggy. When Player gets out of their car, Penny, Georgie's infected sister, knocks Player out with a baseball bat and locks them in the house. After escaping the house while being chased by Penny, the Player goes to the police station to get help, only to find out that another infected character is roaming the station (Georgie's infected mother). After escaping the station in a car with Doggy, a fellow officer, the car runs out of gas and they stop near a gallery, only to be surrounded by Mother Piggy, Father Piggy, and another infected named Sheepy. Player and Doggy go into the gallery, but they are forced to leave after Father follows them in. They then make their way to a forest and stay there for a month. One day, Doggy goes missing in the forest, and the Player finds him, infected. After escaping the Forest, the Player finds a walkie-talkie, and the person on the other side asks if anyone is there.
The person on the other side reveals themselves as a celebrity named Mr. P, who asks Player to save their friend Bunny from an abandoned school. After being chased by an infected teacher, the Player saves Bunny, but passes out after meeting Mr. P in the school's sewers. Bunny and Mr. P take Player to a hospital. After the Player comes to, they escape the hospital by getting to the roof with Bunny while being chased by an infected bear named Beary (the hospital was raided and Beary became infected). They found out Mr. P has left them, so they decide to leave through an underground metro. After evading a zombie-pig hybrid named Zompiggy and activating the metro's train, Player is forced to leave Bunny behind as the latter reveals they are infected.
Player ends up at Mr. P's carnival, determined to find him. After being chased by an infected clown named Clowny, they end up escaping and find two more survivors: Zizzy (a zebra) and Pony. Zizzy wants to take Player to their "safe place", but as they are talking, an infected fox named Foxy sneaks up behind Player, but Pony knocks Foxy out just in time before they leave.
Player, Zizzy, and Pony pass through a deserted city to make it to their safe place. After they get there, they talk about what their lives were like prior to the infection. They see someone behind a dumpster who runs away. Player and Zizzy leave to investigate. They find the figure, who was actually Georgie Piggy, in a mall. After the Player promises to help Georgie, they return back to the safe place, where Pony reveals he tracked down Mr. P's helicopter signal. Player, Zizzy, and Pony then leave to confront Mr. P at a military outpost infested by infected soldiers. They are ready to enter a power plant at the outpost when they discover Georgie has followed them (he wanted to see the one who "hurt" his family). Unfortunately, Georgie ended up attracting a bunch of the soldiers, forcing Zizzy and Pony to stay behind and fight the soldiers while Player and Georgie enter the plant.
Inside the plant, Player and Georgie find Mr. P, who has turned into a cyborg. When Mr. P noticed them, he dismisses them as deceased and runs away. After Player helps Mr. P snap out of his trance, Georgie prepares to attack Mr. P for hurting the former's family, but Player convinces him not to. Mr. P wants them to leave, and the Player is given a choice to go with Georgie or stay with Mr. P, resulting in three endings: the Good Ending (in which the Player leaves with Georgie and meets up with Zizzy and Pony), the Bad Ending (in which the Player gets attacked by an infected after staying with Mr. P), and the True Ending (in which Mr. P tells Player the story of the infection before the latter leaves with Georgie).
Piggy: Book 2
[edit]Book 2 starts with a flashback of an arrest Player and Doggy made (arresting a wolf named Willow and a raccoon named Rash) prior to the infection. In the present, the Player leaves the safe place with Zizzy and Pony to get batteries at the store for a radio that was found by another resident of the safe place, Mimi. After obtaining the batteries, they end up contacting a group of survivors dubbed Settlement Six who wants to meet up for trading purposes. When Player, Pony, and Zizzy get to the place the meeting was scheduled, they end up surrounded by a group named The Silver Paw, led by Willow, who escaped from jail. She captures Zizzy and leaves with the Silver Paw, forcing Pony and Player to go to one of the Silver Paw's bases (a refinery) to rescue Zizzy. They find her, but after noticing she has been scratched by an infected, they leave without her.
Later on, Player and the rest of the Safe Place residents are forced to evacuate after an infected named Raze breaks in. After leaving, they get surrounded by the Silver Paw (as Willow found out about Player and Pony breaking into the Refinery), who captures them and locks them in a jail cell at their factory, though they end up escaping with the help of Zizzy's sisters, Zee and Zuzy. Unfortunately, after they escape, Willow tries to shoot Pony with a revolver, but ends up shooting another Safe Place resident named Giraffy, who jumped in front of the bullet. Player and Pony fight Willow as the other Safe Place residents escape the factory. After Player and Pony escape, Willow tries to shoot Player, but after noticing Zee and Zuzy, she stops and breaks down apologizing. In the Savior Ending of the Factory map, the Silver Paw members take care of Giraffy while everyone else leaves to find the cure, but in the Survivor Ending, Mimi stays behind to take care of Giraffy instead.
Willow, Player, and the Safe Place residents end up at a port. Player activates the lighthouse and they board a ship called The Medora. Player and Willow get fuel for the ship after telling the captain, Budgey, that they need to cross the North Sea. They arrive at the docks where Player meets up with Tigry, a Silver Paw member who apologizes for hunting them down at the Refinery. Tigry also attempts to convince Player to ditch Willow after learning the latter is working with Willow to get to the cure, but the Player denies and they part ways with Tigry still keeping his offer. The group meets up with Kona, a friend of Mimi's, who allows his robot, Robby, to travel with the group.
Player and Robby go under Kona's base to escape, and after they do, the Player goes through a vision where they encounter a strange figure who tries to convince Player to join him. After Player denies, the figure tells them to stay out of their business, and the Player wakes up from the vision. The group then walks toward a military camp with infected soldiers inside. They unlock the elevator and go down to the lab where they encounter Tigry, who fights with Willow. However, dynamite Tigry place around the map explodes, causing two large pieces of rubble to fall down and trap the Player, who starts looking for the cure while being chased by Penny, who appears more mutated and distorted. They also end up helping either Tigry or Willow defeat the other in their fight (Tigry and Willow's Savior and Survivor Endings) or they boss battle and defeat the figure seen in the Player's vision, who is named TIO (Hidden Ending). After completing the Hidden Ending and watching the credits, the camera cuts to Kona's base. The Safe Place residents, the Player, and an uninfected Zizzy are seen at the base (Tigry and Willow are not seen as they reconciled and decided to travel the world together).
There are multiple character-focused chapters that add to the story, such as Distorted Memory (based on Georgie), Distraction (based on Zizzy), Heist (based on Willow), Mansion (based on Zee and Zuzy), and Breakout (focused on Tigry).

Music
[edit]The main game's music was provided by APM Music. The soundtrack heard in the Book 1 menu is called "Horror Pantomime", a soundtrack that can be found in Roblox's audio library. Soundtracks for skins and other music were provided by Roblox's audio library or were made by the main game's composer, BSlick.
Copyright issues
[edit]Since the main game was based off of Peppa Pig, images and soundtracks from the show could be seen and heard in game. They were later removed by MiniToon for copyright reasons.
Development
[edit]MiniToon (previously known as toonlink76543) was the main developer of Piggy along with IKEAs[11]. The latter was a major builder to Piggy who worked on chapters. The former worked on skins, chapter lines, and more. Additional developers helped out with the game (such as HannahB458 (also called Experia) who worked on the Mr. P models and a YouTuber called "Dexter Playz" worked on the animations for the fight between Tigry and Willow). The composer, BSlick, worked on music and other soundtracks for Book 2.
According to MiniToon, Piggy was originally going to just be a 2D image of Peppa Pig chasing you around a house, but he changed it to make it "a little more creepy and unique."
Other media
[edit]- A Piggy spin-off game, titled Piggy but it's 100 Players, was created by MiniToon to celebrate the main game receiving 100,000 visits. As the title suggest, it allows a maximum of 100 players in each server, making the game very laggy and chaotic. The game is currently unplayable.
- Another spin-off game, titled 暴走小猪 (also known as Piggy (Chinese Variant)), was released as a Chinese version of the main game. It went through multiple adjustment waves due to the strict video game policies in China (such as the Infection gamemode being renamed to Turn due to the fact that zombies (the infected) are not allowed in Chinese video games.
- A joke version of the main game, titled Sketchy, was created by MiniToon to celebrate the YouTuber Sketch's birthday. There is only one skin (Sketchy), trap (the Default Trap), and chapter (House, which was renamed to sketch's house). The game is currently unplayable. The gamemodes in this game are civilized mode (Player), bot bot bot bot bot (Bot), the no-go zone (Player + Bot), Infect chin (Infection) and Traitor aka sketch (Traitor).
- The demo to an upcoming free-roam survival multiplayer game, currently titled Piggy: Intercity (DEMO), was released on January 16, 2021. It is currently unknown when the full game will be released.
- Another spin-off game, titled PIGGY: Hunt, was released on Steam in 2021.[12]
- A novel, titled PIGGY: Infected, was released in January 2023. It was written by Terrence Crawford.
- A graphic novel, titled PIGGY: Permanent Detention, was released in September 2023. It was written by Vannotes and illustrated by Malu Menezes.
- The second novel, titled PIGGY: The Cure, was released in August 2023. It was written by Terrence Crawford.
Collaborations
[edit]- The Piggy-Jailbreak Crossover was a collaboration with another popular Roblox game titled Jailbreak. The Poley skin was introduced during this crossover with a quest required to get the skin.
- A collaboration with Metallica, titled Metallica x Piggy Event, was released on April 15, 2023. An exclusive map for the event was released where players could get the Eelektra skin and a UGC item (titled Metallica x Piggy Vest) after completeing the map. The event was removed from the game the very next day on April 16.
- The Piggy-Secret Neighbor Collaboration was a small collaboration with another Roblox game titled Secret Neighbor. The collaboration was made to promote the latter game's release.
Reception
[edit]The game received positive reviews. It was given a 7.2 out of 10 by IMDb.[13] IGN described it as "horrifying, absurd, and utterly hilarious too."[14]
