Song

"Up in the Sky" is a song by rock and roll band Oasis. It is the 4th track from their record breaking album Definitely Maybe and was written by lead guitarist Noel Gallagher.

Noel Gallagher explained that the song is a swipe at the powers that be who run the country but don't have a clue how the average person lives.

The song was played at Oasis' gig at King Tuts Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow on the night they were spotted by Creation Records chief Alan McGee.

An acoustic version sung by Noel was released as a b-side on the "Live Forever" single.

When the band played "Round Are Way" live during the (What’s the Story) Morning Glory Tour, the band added the first two verses of "Up In The Sky" to the end of the song.
