Note

The USA's U-23 team included a number of players from the highly successful U-20 World Championship squad of 1989, including Brad Friedel, Joe-Max Moore, Steve Snow, Cobi Jones and Claudio Reyna. They were also helped by the South American boycott of the Games. High scorers for the US were Snow (four goals), and Reyna (two goals).
