Footwear Design and Development Institute is an educational institute headquartered in Noida, Uttar Pradesh,[2]

History

It has campuses at Noida, Amethi, Ankleshwar, Guna, Chennai, Kolkata, Rohtak, Haryana, Chhindwara, M.P. and Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

Footwear Design & Development Institute popularly known as FDDI conducts a range of professional courses in the area of Retail Management, Footwear Design, Technology, Management, Fashion Merchandising, Business Management, Visual Merchandizing, Marketing, Creative Designing & CAD/CAM and Leather Goods & Accessories Design etc. The long-term courses are of two to three years duration.

FDDI was set up by the govt of India in 1986 with an objective to provide human resource and technical services to the industry.

FDDI is planning to open a campus in Calicut. FDDI has also got the status of an Institute of National Importance in Year 2017 by The Government of India.
