Gangneung Ice Arena (강릉 아이스 아레나) is a future indoor ice arena which will be built for the 2018 Winter Olympics. It is located in the coastal city of Gangneung. It will be the venue for two sports: figure skating and short track speed skating.[1]

The seating capacity is 12,000. The Gangneung Ice Arena is designed to house two ice rinks (60m x 30m) for competition and training respectively. The building will have four floors aboveground and two underground levels. An environmentally-friendly ice cooling system will be adopted, and the facility will be used for local recreational purposes after the Games.

The cost of construction for the Olympics is 85 million USD. Construction has started and should be completed in November 2016.
