Garividi is a village in Vizianagaram district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.[1]

Demography

This Mandal had a population of 68,289 in 2011Census . Males constitute 34,217 and females 34,072 of the population. The average literacy rate is 94%. The male literacy rate is 97% and that of females 90%.Garividi comes under Cheepurupalli Assembly Constituency and Vizianagaram Loksabha constituency.

  • The Garden developed recently at the Sri Ram Temple, Shreeramnagar is a must visit place in Garividi.
  • Garividi is famous for its "Chena Kaja" a sweet. Garividi is also famous for "Garividi Lakshmi" songs.
  • The important Minerals that occur in the district are Manganese of High quality in Cheepurupalli, Merakamudidam and Garividi Mandals, Kankar, Lime Stone Manganese and Lime Kankar occurs in Garividi and Merakamudidam Mandals, Quartz in Cheepurupalli Mandal and Granite (Column) in Parvathipuram and Makkuva Mandals.
  • There is a Flyover with a length of 850 mtr. in Garividi which crosses the railway line of Howrah-Chennai.
  • Unfortunately there are no much civil servants or good leadership who can develop this mandal.
  • Kandipeta is one of the nearest village.
  • Shreeram High School and Shreeram Junior & Degree Colleges are well known for education.
  • FACOR -one of the World's largest producers of Ferro and supplies to near by Steel Plants.
  • Educational Institutions,Hospitals, Temples are very well managed and maintained by FACOR.
