Geneva State Park is a state park located on the shore of Lake Erie in Geneva, Ashtabula County, Ohio, United States. It contains 698 acres (282 ha) of land.
Park activities
Geneva State Park offers camping, fishing, boating, canoeing and a guarded swimming beach [during the season]. In winter, visitors may enjoy snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and ice fishing. A six-lane boat ramp provides easy access to Lake Erie's central basin. The marina features a canteen and concession area, which supplies gasoline, boating essentials and bait, along with 383 docks for rental.
Accommodation
Visitors to Geneva State Park can choose from camping, lakefront cedar cabins, or rooms in the recently constructed Lodge and Conference Center. Reservations can be made on the Geneva State Park Page. The lodge features beautiful views of Lake Erie and offers 109 guest rooms, a full-service restaurant, and conference facilities as well as an indoor swimming pool and hot tub, fitness center, game room and bike rentals.
The facilities are also available for weddings and other events.
Area attractions
Photographers will delight in the 16 covered bridges found in Ohio's largest county. Additionally, Northeast Ohio boasts more wineries per square mile than in any other region,[2] and the Park is located in close proximity to many of Ohio's finest wineries. This region, Lake Erie Central Basin, is well known for producing trophy walleye and the state park marina is home for many local charter fishing boats.[3]
