Gunjial is a village located near the Soon Sakesar valley and one of the 51 Union Councils (administrative subdivisions) of Khushab District in the Punjab Province of Pakistan.[1]

The village is home to the Gunjial tribe which is further divided into sub-clans or Khails. Gunjial is an ancient Malik tribe linked to agriculture. Wheat, sugarcane, rice, cotton and citrus fruits are the main growths. The area is very rich on minerals, salt, limestone and coal from the Salt Range. Farming of animals is another big source of income for the locals.

The city of Quaidabad near Gunjial was built on land bought from Gunjials in 1960`s by the government of Ayub Khan, which has become a hub for business and trade for surrounding areas and became Tehsil in 2013.
