  • curprev 01:5601:56, 28 March 2022 76.167.118.3 talk 117,526 bytes −1,325 Thoreau employs poetical devices like irony, paradox, and provocation to make points. This is an unfortunate and frankly embarrassing and ignorant misreading, over literal, and out of context. Its clearly an anarchist ideologue that looks for popular historical figures to appropriate and cherry picks quotes out of context to have them on their side. There is no evidence nor did Thoreau ever admit to being an anarchist. He engaged with government extensively and believed in its place. undo Tag: Reverted
