KSMA (1240 AM,) is a radio station broadcasting a News/Talk format. Licensed to Santa Maria, California, USA, the station serves the Santa Maria-Lompoc area. The station is currently owned by AGM-California inc [3]

History

KSMA was originally owned by John and Alice Bayless, and the studios were originally downtown next to the old post office before Santa Maria's downtown renovation in the 1980s.

On November 30, 2007, the station changed call letters from KSMA to KSMX following a sale from Clear Channel Communications.[1] The station changed its call sign back to KSMA on May 16, 2016. It is a radio affiliate of the Los Angeles Rams.
