L'Ambroisie (French pronunciation: [lɑ̃bʁwazi]) is a Michelin three-starred restaurant in Paris, France.[1] The chef is Bernard Pacaud. The restaurant is in a period house in the Place des Vosges.

Bernard Pacaud started at age 15, in 1962, as an apprentice at the famed Eugenie (Mére) Brazier restaurant, Col de la Luère (20 km away from Lyon. He spent the next three years as commis at the Tante Alice restaurant in Lyon. He then became chef de partie at La Méditerranée in Paris[2]. Pushed by Eugénie Brazier encouragements, he applied to work in 1976 with Claude Peyrot, chef and owner of the Vivarois (Michemin three star restaurant), avenue Victor Hugo in Paris. In 1981 he opened his own restaurant quai de la Tournelle (at the crossing with rue de Bièvres) in Paris[3]. Finally, in 1986, he opened L'Ambroisie, place des Vosges and obtained 3 Michelins stars in 1988, which he has kept since then. His refined and classical cooking style makes it one on the most esteemed French restaurants.

President Barack Obama had dinner there in Nov 2015 with President Francois Hollande and US Secretary of State John Kerry[4].
