The article contains a list of main characters in Rebelde Way (2002–2003), an Argentine telenovela, which was very successful in the time of its broadcasting. It was produced by Cris Morena. The band Erreway was formed during the development of this telenovela.

Girls

Marizza Pía Spirito Andrade

Marizza is a main character of Rebelde Way and one of the four band members of Erreway.

She is a very rebellious and extroverted, but also sensitive teenager because her lone mother Sonia, a popular Argentinian celebrity, never set any bounds to her. To change this Fabricio Spirito, who supposed to be Marizza's biological father, forces her to attend the Elite Way School, a boarding school for privileged adolescents. Because of her special character she immediately makes friends as well as a lot of enemies and gets constantly into trouble.

She quickly becomes fond of her roomies Luján and Luna and as time wents on she makes good friends with Manuel, Marcos and Nico. But on the other side there are Mía, Pablo and their, mostly rich and superficial, friends. Marizza is not able to stand them right from the beginning.

After many fights, intrigues and manipulations Marizza, Manuel, Mía and Pablo, whose love for music is even stronger than their rivalry, use a unique opportunity to form a band together.

She then acknowledges to herself that she is actually in love with Pablo and they start an on-off relationship. Marizza dates a number of other guys, including Joaquín, Marcos, Facundo, Simon, Diego and Javier to get Pablo jealous or get over him. However, it is no use because she loves Pablo

She also befriends Mia and they become stepsister since Sonia marries Franco, the father of her former enemy.

Marizza loves her mother to pieces but she hates the fact that she is always overshadowed by Sonia's beauty and fame. Most of the time the two of them are fighting, especially when Marizza finds out that her real father is Martin/Octavio Andrade, a new teacher at school.

4 Caminos

At the beginning of the film sequel 4 Caminos, Marizza and Pablo are not together anymore. While Pablo tries to get Marizza's attention, she always ignores him or gets mad at him. After many fights they become a couple again, when Benito shows up in the hotel room with tickets to Buenos Aires. Marizza, Pablo, Manuel and Mia are so happy that they start hugging each other. When Pablo and Marizza are hugging, they start kissing. In the end, the two of them are godfather and godmother to Mía and Manuel's daughter Candela. Candela also says that Marizza became a famous singer.

Mía Colucci

Mía Colucci Cacéres is one of the main characters, the member of Erreway, along with her friends Pablo, Manuel and Marizza. She is the only child of famous fashion businessman Franco Colucci and his wife Marina. Mía was told that Marina died when she was just a baby. But, later, she finds out that her mother is alive and that she left Mía and Franco because she did drugs.

Mía is the most popular and beautiful girl in Elite Way School. And because her father is a famous fashion businessman, she has many designer clothes. She is also the only girl (along with her roommates) to have a second floor in her room, which they used as a closet. Her best friends are Vico and Feli. She falls in love with Manuel in the first sight, but she pretends to hate him.In the beginning of the first season she and Pablo thought about dating so they can be the popular couple of the school. She is beautiful and mean, but she doesn't think she is mean. Mía is also brave and light-hearted, but sometimes, only her best friends Vico and Feli can see it.

She is a very talented dancer and before Marizza came to the school, she was the only choreographer in the school. She always tries to look good every time, and she does it by never eating sweets or food with high calories, she exercises in her spare time, and always wears new clothes. It was shown in some episodes that she gave some of her dresses to Pilar or Vico because she had already worn them twice. Every year after the summer vacation she does an American fair in which she gives her old clothes away and presents her new projects for the new year in school.

Mía is the enemy of Marizza, but later, they become friends and stepsisters, when Franco gets married to Marizza's mother Sonia. Mía has had relationships with Manuel (boyfriend), Joaquín (ex-boyfriend, who dated her and Marizza at the same time), Guido (ex-boyfriend), Fransisco (ex-boyfriend), and Blas (ex-boyfriend) . She is in love with Manuel, but she doesn't want to show it.In the end of the season 1, Mia goes in the airplane and tells to Manuel that she want to be with him and that she loves him...In the end they kiss.

In the season 2,Mia and Manuel are together and they are the perfect couple. They are so happy together.

But when Manuel, after a lot of drink, slept with Sabrina, they broke up. Mía was very hurt, but she was still in love Manuel. When Manuel lost his memory, Mía did everything to get his memory back. He remembered Pablo, but no one else. Mía was hurt more than ever when she found out that Manuel remembered her too, he soon went to Mexico to see his family.

In the final episode, Manuel returns, begs Mía to forgive him and asks her to be together again, because he truly loves her. Crying, Mía says "yes", and two of them become couple.

4 Caminos

In the film 4 Caminos (2004), Mía and Manuel are still in love. During the film, they have a baby, a girl named Candela. Later, Mía discovers she has tuberculosis. The band returns to Buenos Aires because of Mía's therapy, but a short time later she dies.

Pilar Dunoff

Pilar Dunoff is the daughter of Principal Marcel Dunoff, the headmaster of Elite Way School. Her mother, Claudia, is also the professor of English language in Elite Way School. Because of that, she is disliked by most of the students. At the beginning of the series she used to write a newspaper anonymously, filled with gossip about her classmates (Marizza reveals that at the end of the first season, but she promises Pilar that she won't tell anyone). Guido also suspected her to be the writer of the newspaper, but he could never prove it. At the beginning, she also wrote secret letters to Tomás, but later Guido found out that Pilar was Tomás' secret admirer. At one moment, she was so desperate and lonely that she almost shot at Marizza and Mía's birthday party. Fortunately, Mansilla stopped her.

At the beginning of season one, Pilar dated Tomás, but it was only pretend to help Tomás (although she doesn't know why he needed her help) so that Pablo didn't realize that Vico (who is in relationship with Pablo) is secretly dating Tomás.

Pilar used to date Joaquín, after Joaquín was dumped by Mía and Marizza. Her father really supported her relationship with Joaquín and became their matchmaker. But they later broke up. In some episodes, when Pilar was dating Joaquín, it was shown that Pilar was best friend with Vico. This happened because Vico had a fight with Feli and Mía (who defended Feli), so she turned to Pilar.

Also, during season two, Pilar dates Tomás. The divorce of their parents and relationship with Tomás made her to socialize a bit more, and she makes some friends in her class. In the end, she is just like the rest – good mate, with a lot of friends, happily in love with Tomás.

She is friend of Mía and Marizza, and because of this she sometimes became the victim of their fight because she can't choose which side. She has romanced Tomás, but her true love is Nico. Their relationships had some problems, because Nico is a Jewish and Luna is a Catholic. But, two of them decide to marry in the end of the first season. They leave Elite Way School and go to the country with Luna's sister.

Luján Linares

Luján Linares comes to Elite Way School as extremely good athlete. She is raised in foster. Her ammoniums tutor pays her the scholarship. Luján tries to find out who he is. Her best friends are Marizza and Luna, later Laura. Marizza and Luján are almost the same: both are explosive and impulsive. Luján finds out that he is her co-tutor and her brother. Their father died, and Blas becomes her tutor. Blas dies after enduring a car crash (Manuel also gets hurt), and his last words are that he "loves Luján as his sister".

Luján is in love with Marcos. They become a couple in season one and then break up in season two. In the final episode, she admits him her feelings, and they become couple again. All of this made Sol Mía's enemy to be the queen bee of the school. She is also the enemy of Marizza and almost all girls in her class. Tomás and Pablo tried to date her, but she was just using them. Her dream is to be a fashion model. But, her parents think that is not a good career for her. She dated Blas for a while. Pablo's father, does not approve of Pablo being in a band because Sergio is worried that it will affect his political image.

Pablo is the most popular boy in Elite Way School. His best friends are Guido and Tomás, and later Manuel. Girls go crazy when they see him. He is also a rebel in his own way due to the fact that he plays music. Pablo at first hates Marizza because he cannot stand her they constantly fight but he later starts to develop feelings for her. This is due to the fact that she is different from everyone else in the school, she is more down to earth and stands for what she believes in. He doesn't want to accept/show his true feelings for her because he is afraid of what others will think. Marizza is also almost the only person who actually understands him. She is, in some way his best girl friend.

Pablo plays the guitar and wrote some songs for the band Erreway. He wrote the love song Dos Segundos which was inspired by Marizza. He wrote it after he and Marizza kissed (which was originally to keep Marizza's mother, Sonia and Pablo's father, Sergio off their backs. When they kissed they felt sparks but both of them pretended like they felt nothing). Marizza and Pablo pretend to be a couple for a short while so that Pablo can play in the band without his father knowing.

In one episode, after Nacho was discovered, Marizza told the school's café waitress (Cata) to play Pablo's song (Mi Vida) on the radio which was recorded by Nacho when Pablo was in the truck as revenge. But later in the episode she finds out that Pilar told her friend the writer of the newspaper, about Nacho (Pilar is the writer of the newspaper but this is not known until later in the telenovela). So, she told Sergio, along with Tomás, that Tomás sang the song, not Pablo. Pablo gets angry at her because he thought that Marizza forced Tomás to lie, when in fact she came up with the idea and asked Tomás if he wanted to do it and he said yes. When Tomás tells Pablo that Marizza did it to help him, Pablo is touched and a little confused because Marizza helped him.

Pablo starts developing feelings for Marizza and he begins to treat her differently and worry about her but as soon as this happens, Marizza is forced to go to Italy to be with her father. When Marizza goes to Italy, Pablo meets Paula, who later becomes his girlfriend little does he know that she is the prostitute that Sergio hired to take away Pablo's virginity. When he finds out the truth, he is heartbroken so Marizza decides to takes care of him. Pablo has a crush on Marizza and when Tomás discovers that Pablo likes her, he tells him that she would never pay attention to him. Pablo tells Tomás that there is no girl in the school who is not crazy about him. Pablo wanting to become Marizza's boyfriend decides to make a bet with Tomás that he can win Marizza over in two weeks. The winner will get all of the loser's CDs. Pablo and Marizza become couple and Pablo wants to keep it that way because he is crazy about her. When Marizza finds out the truth they break up. He wants her back, but she says no because she does not want to get hurt again.

Pablo once told Facundo (Pablo's friend who has a band and also dates Marizza in a couple of episodes) that he was in love with Marizza since the day she arrived to school. He said that he was crazy about her and will die if he's not with her. It's hard to tell whether he truly meant what he said or whether he just said that so that Marizza would not be in two bands and so that Facundo would leave her alone.

In season 2, Pablo tries to get Marizza's attention because he is love with her, he tries to make her jealous with many girls such as Veronica and Lola but does not succeed.Although Pablo dates other girls, he cannot forget Marizza. All of them were so happy and they hug each other. When Manuel, Mía, and Benito hug, Pablo and Marizza hug and kiss. Pablo and Marizza are the godparents of Mía and Manuel's daughter Candela.
