Lua Blanco (born March 5, 1987),[1] is a Brazilian actress, singer, songwriter, director of the series, presenter, and occasionally, model. Lua is most often recognized for being a woman of many talents, charisma and remarkable breath to play several roles simultaneously.,[2][3][4][5] Granddaughter of icon of "Bossa Nova", the musician Billy Blanco, achieved success as a member of the band Rebeldes, in which received three certifications (disks) gold, two platinum and one double platinum, beside Arthur Aguiar, Chay Suede, Micael Borges, Mel Fronckowiak and Sophia Abrahão, made about 90 shows in Brazil during three years, reaching for, in the end, a total of over one million and two hundred thousand spectators at every show. Lua also recorded a commercial for the brand Asepxia in Buenos Aires, Argentina, among other achievements.[6][7][8][9][10]

In her career, she received nine nominations for the award American, Shorty Awards, winning once as 'Vox Populi', for having the most nominations in the category "Actress". Lua was also the most suitable artist for all editions of 'Capricho Awards' and the only one to win all the categories in which it was indicated.[11][12][13]

Much linked to social issues, several times was godmother of campaigns, partner at events focused on noble causes, panelist for needy children, among others. Lua was named godmother "Universitario Sangue Bom", a campaign which has the objective of encourage young people to by donating blood.

In 2012, was voted the 71st greatest Brazilian of all time, in an award promoted by a television channel, in which Law Was entitled as "a talent of the new generation" The program was intended "to elect who did more for the nation that stood out for his legacy to society." Regarding his international career, Lua has some fans in Portugal, on account of transmission of Rebelde by International Record and by the Internet, on Netflix. In 2014, the actress has been selected to join the international film "Breaking Through," a project with singer John Legend, with John Swetnam direction, in which the recordings take place in Los Angeles, but after traveling the city decided not to accept the role because that would have to merge with the dance performance, and not judge yourself professional dancer. Biography

Lua Blanco is the daughter of musician Billy Blanco Junior and musician and English teacher Maria Claudia Blanco. Born in São Paulo and lives in Rio de Janeiro. Raised in a large family, along with her older brother Pedro, and the four younger siblings, Ana Terra, Estrela, Daniel and Marisol Blanco, was taught at home by her mother in English and Portuguese. Because of the music and the social projects of parents in childhood moved frequently, including living for two years in Peru.

With an artistic heritage of both the paternal side as breast, small yet started its history in the art world. Since very young now doing some musical performances with her parents and siblings. As a child, she recorded a CD with Peter Sun, Earth and Star Ana Blanco, called The Rainbow Train, with children's songs in Portuguese and English sections.[19]

2005– 2006 – Early Career

Lua Blanco started her acting career in 2008 in the Rede Globo telenovela Três Irmãs, playing Bia, then appearing in the following year in Malhação.[20] She is a member of the band "Lágrima Flor", as a singer.[21] Lua Blanco temporarily left the band to play the lead role, Roberta Messi, in the 2011 Rede Record telenovela Rebelde.[22][23]

At eighteen, she began her musical career, performing at venues in Rio de Janeiro, with the Blanco Family group, for two years (2005 and 2006) with a repertoire of Bossa Nova and The Beatles. In this project with the whole family, recorded another CD, Family Blanco – It's Christmas (2004). In 2006, still in college, Lua rode with her colleagues her first band, the "Lagrima Flor". The group's name is a tribute to one of the songs from her grandfather, the musician Billy Blanco, plus vocalist Lua was responsible for composing the songs for the band, involved in a new project, after five years had to leave the band.

2008– 2010 – Film and Television

During his career, she took courses in order to enhance their talents. Among them, singing lessons with Professor Carol Savoy; Theatrical Interpretation at Casa de Cultura Laura Alvim, with Daniel Herz (2008–2009); Diving Theatre, the CAL course with Isaac Bernat, Claudia Melle and Renata Frisina (2009); Interpretation Workshop with Walter Lima to Cinema (2009); Training workshop Rebelde on TV Record, with Roberto Bomtempo (2010); Workshop with the preparer cast for novels, series and film Sergio Penna (2013). Besides its undergraduate Lyrics (Translation – English / Portuguese) at PUC-Rio.[19]

Blanco enters the theater in 2008, as Isolde in Romeu e Isolda. In the same year, debuted on TV, making a contribution in the novel Três Irmãs, giving life to the surfer Bia (Globo)[24]

In 2009, again at the theater, played the character Mariana in Spring Awakening (Spring Awakening), musical by Frank Wedekind who won his first Latin version embodied by Charles Moeller and Cláudio Botelho. Among the three thousand young people who participated in the audition for the show, Lua Blanco, Blanco Pedro Sun and Estrela were among the 19 selected. In 2010, we released an album with all songs sung in musical.18 Also in 2009, Joe lived the rocker, the sixteenth season Malhação.17 In the second half of the same year, he joined the cast of young TV presenters Globinho (Globo)[25]

In 2010, Lua gave life to many characters in The Adventures of Didi (Globo) program. Re-recorded the hits "A Thousand Miles" (Vanessa Carlton) and "Umbrella" (Rihanna), both released on the album Relaxing Bossa – 4 Volume Lua also came to rehearse for live Natália character in the play Confessions of a Teenage based on the book and the series author of Maria Mariana, however, by other commitments could not continue in the same.[26]

The beginning of 2011 also saw the debut of the Lua in theaters, with the feature film Your Eyes My, who has directed and written by Caio Soh as Taila.[27]

2011 – 2013 – success in Rebelde

2011 was a watershed in his career, the year she became known for playing one of the protagonists of the Brazilian version of the soap opera Rebelde, living Roberta Messi (Rede Record). In late 2010, Lua passed a battery of tests, including acting, dance, voice and others to finally live the rebel Roberta. The selection of the six protagonists lasted four months and had about 600 candidates. The novel began on March 21, 2011, and reached its final chapter on October 12, 2012, divided into two seasons and 410 chapters. Had the typical story of everyday life of young people living in a school in semi-boarding, and faced typical dramas of their ages, beyond the issues that caused the plot throughout the novel, such as alcoholism, bullying, eating disorders, family problems, among others. Written by Margareth Boury and directed by Ivan Zettel, is inspired by the eponymous Mexican telenovela Pedro Damián.

Beside Arthur Aguiar, Chay Suede, Mel Fronckowiak, Micael Borges and Sophia Abrahçao, was inaugurated off the Rebeldes band (who came up with the novel, and gained the Brasil with about 90 shows over three years), with the first Rebel Tour, which began on October 30, 2011 and ended on January 30, 2012. Nela Lua Blanco made including the Cover of the song "Firework" (Katy Perry), at the end for about 90 thousand spectators over nine shows. Then came the Tour Nada Pode Nos Parar (Nothing Can Stop In), which was January 30, 2012 to August 18 of the same year, also traveling around the country. Achievements with Rebeldes

Earlier in 2012, the six protagonists of the novel embarked for Buenos Aires, Argentina, where they recorded commercials for specialized products to combat pimples, only months after we discovered that it was the Asepxia and they were aired in the media (which even was an official sponsor and took the name of one of the touring band). On April 11 the same year, it launched the first live album and DVD of the group, the Rebels Live. The CD and DVD were taken from a show in São Paulo, earning a gold record, by 40 000 copies sold and DVD equivalent to 50 000 copies platina, respectively, and together yielded 140,000 copies. Along the DVD was released a music video of the song, which is unprecedented, "Nothing Can Stop Over", and subsequently, in June the song "After the Rain" also would become one more single, containing behind the scenes and show band. Already on December 9, 2012, was released the second album in the studio side of the Rebels, Meu Jeito, Seu Jeito (My Way, Your Way(, with an initial print run of 20,000 copies.

In retrospect the great success that it was Rebel, Lua attended the Documentary Especial Fim de Ano (Special Year End), produced by Rede Record, which showed the backstage of novel and the band during the two years that remained in the air. Also in 2012, part of the clip "It was the Chosen" of his former band Lagrima Flor, but this time only participated as actress.

The official closing of the band was in Belo Horizonte, day May 4, 2013, surrounded by show much emotion, and that marked the end of a very successful story and achievements, closing cycle Rebel. Throughout the history of the band, CD and DVD were released.

2013 – present

At the beginning of the year 2013, Lua recorded a duet with singer João Teles, lead singer of the band Pietro's, singing and participating in the music video, Todo Dia" (Every Day), released in April.[28] She also made another duet, this time with singer Rodrigo Fragoso, the song "Tudo Vai Mudar" (Everything Will Change).[29]

In 2013, Blanco back to the theater, this time giving space to Anne, one of the protagonists of Stand Up comedy alongside Matheus Souza, who also directed and wrote the piece.[30] Due to the success of the presentations, the piece came to be in theaters for another season.[31] In the same year, enters poster of the musical The Things We Do not We interpreting and Paula, where she works with actress Giselle Batista and Matheus Souza, who once again signs and directs the work.[32]

in the beginning of July 2013, participated in the auditions for the show about the life and work of the singer Elis Regina, Elis, A Musical a musical Nelson Motta and Patricia Andrade and directed by Dennis Carvalho, where there were more than three thousand applicants, including household names such as Marjorie Fair, Débora Falabella, Drica Moraes and others.[33]

In the same month, the Lua makes a cameo in the last two performances of the season Rio de Janeiro and August three performances in are Paul, part Everything for a Popstar. Based on the book of the writer Thalita Rebougas, with adaptation of Gustavo Reiz, directed by Pedro Vasconcelos and with musical direction by Jules Vandystadt, the play portrays the adventure of three friends that the interior travel to capital in order to watch the show of his biggest idols. Blanco took the stage to sing with the cast, playing the songs "I'm Yours" from Jason Mraz, "Every Day", which she recorded the song and clip with the Pietros band (who also attended) plus "Meu Jeito Seu Jeito" (My Way, your Way) of his defunct band Rebeldes.

Lua recorded a track called "Turnaround" especially for integrating the soundtrack of the film A Brasileira (The British). A film producer Uri Singer and Fabio Golombek, played by actors Fernanda Machado, Greg Tuculescu, Dean Cain, Mariel Hemingway, Scott Rodgers among outros.

Lua Blanco marks his return to telenovelas in Pecado Mortal (Mortal Sin), whose debut was on September 25, 2013. The Novel goes on in the 70s, where her character Silvia is a sensible girl and romantic, often reversing the roles with her mother, Norma Shirley (Sonia Lima) in the categories maturity and responsibility. Due to the time in which it portrays the plot and similarities with the actress who plays her mother, Moon radically changed its look, leaving aside the platinum blonde locks for a dark shade of brown and lisos.
