Masson was a French publisher specialised in medical and scientific collections. In 1987, Masson purchased Armand Colin. In turn, it became part of the City Group ([Groupe de la Cité] Error: {{Lang}}: text has italic markup (help)) in 1994. In 2005, Masson merged with Elsevier France, creating Elsevier Masson.

Notable publications

  • In 1962, Masson published a French language translation of a book about a fictitious order called the Rhinogradentia written by the German zoology professor Gerolf Steiner.
  • In 2000, in association with the language software company Ultralingua, the Masson French-English Medical Dictionary was published in electronic form for the Macintosh and Microsoft Windows computer platforms.
