Mis amigos de siempre (Template:Lang-en) is an Argentine telenovela produced by Pol-Ka and aired by El Trece. The main actors are Nicolás Cabré, Gonzalo Heredia, Nicolás Vázquez, Calu Rivero, Agustina Cherri, and Emilia Attías. It began as a comedy, and switched to the police procedural genre. The program did not get enough support, and was cancelled. The last program was aired on August 8, 2014.[1]
Plot
Julián (Gonzalo Heredia), Manuel (Nicolás Vázquez), and Simón (Nicolás Cabré) are a group of friends since childhood who spent many years at a local sports club. They meet again after a decade without seeing each other, and try to save the sports club from bankruptcy. They find out that if the club wins a certain tournament, the award will provide the economic support needed to pay the club's debts.
Production
Pol-ka had a difficult year in 2012, as most of its productions had poor ratings against Graduados, the telenovela from the rival channel Telefe. Their 2013 productions had a better reception, and Solamente Vos and Farsantes got the highest ratings. Mis amigos de siempre, the production for the 2014 season, includes several actors who had not worked in Argentine television for some time, such as the senior actors Soledad Silveyra and Osvaldo Laport.[2]
The production includes similarities with Campeones de la vida, an older telenovela by Pol-Ka. The plot is focused on a sports club and many characters are sportspeople. Silveyra and Laport play a couple once more.[3] The plots try to avoid the usual cliches in the romantic couples of telenovelas. The plots are also focused on nostalgia, but not as pronounced as in Graduados.[3] The opening theme was performed by the band Tan Biónica, who had also made the opening theme of Graduados.[4]
Reception
The first episode was aired on December 3, 2013. It got 18.1 rating points.[3]
