Redcar Academy, formerly Redcar Community College is co-educational secondary school with academy status located in Redcar, North Yorkshire, England.[1][2]

The Headteacher, Christine Parker, was appointed in September 2011 and the school was made an academy in December 2011.[citation needed]

The Academy can cater for over 1000 pupils, however current admission figures report the Academy currently has between 700-800 pupils on roll.[citation needed]

The Academy is a Specialist in Visual and Performing Arts.[citation needed]

Exam results[edit]

Redcar Academy achieved the following results for the GCSE’s 2012-2013[3]

  • 94.2% achieved 5 A* to C grades
  • 95.5% achieved 1 A to G grade
  • 42.6% achieved 5 A* to C grades including English and Maths
  • 24.5% achieved 3 A* to A grades.
