Rui Vaz is a settlement in the central part of the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. Its 2010 population was 1,078. It is situated at about 800 m elevation, 4 km west of São Domingos in the municipality's and parish's northwest end. It is connected with the road (EN3-ST07) connecting Cidade Velha in Ribeira Grande de Santiago and the middle and the north of the island, a few kilometers to the east is the Praia-Assomada Route.

Rui Vaz has its own hotel named Quinta da Montanha.

The Capeverdean musician Silva Rosa is from Rui Vaz.
