Sahawa (or Sahwa) ਸਾਹਵਾ is a village in the Taranagar subdistrict of Churu district in the Indian state of Rajasthan.This place is famous for an historical Gurudwara.[1]

Transportation

The nearest railhead is at Nohar and Bhadra, and the closest airport is at Jaipur.Sahwa is well connected by satate higway to Sirsa Hanumangarh and Churu[2] The nearest seaport is Kandla.

The historical Gurudwara

The Gurudwara of Sahwa is associated with tenth Sikh Guru Guru Gobind Singh.He had visited this village in Nov.1704.To commemorate this event a beautiful Gurudwara was built by Sikhs.

Water supply

There is a water treatment plant at Sahwa, part of the Aapni-Yojna integrated water supply project serving northwestern Rajasthan.It supplies water to other cities near by it like Taranagar,Bhanin etc.It is one of largest water filtering plant in Rajasthan[3]
