Changes

[edit]

Removed link to CIC, as this is original research.

Removed quote since it repeats information mentioned elsewhere.

Another series of great edits. On the quotation, I can see the argument that Xinhua is a a primary source here, but we can hardly ignore the Party's POV. Does anyone know if there's a specific set phrase being used to describe the importance of the Congress? Cf. the Huang Ju article's quotation of his official obituary. Bored or Not?

[edit]

In the third paragraph in the section on Hu's report the article lists Jiang Zemin as both paying attention and not paying attention. Perhaps someone with better understanding can say which it was or refrase it somehow?

Thanks

Need update

[edit]

I was about to add the following to the main page, but noticed that this article needs severe updating (everything needs to be in past tense).

  • Xi Jinping and Li Keqiang are elevated as members of the Politburo Standing Committee at the 17th Congress of the Communist Party of China. --Jiang 07:42, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

    Election

    [edit]

gw2005 22:20, 27 Jan 2008 (UTC) Can anyone explain exactly how this election process is preformed within the party, how party members are elected to be one of the top members so on. It seems that this may hint a spark of democracy in the communist China.
