Untitled[edit]

A lot of this needs to be updated and corrected. To give just two of the most glaring examples: One - Contrary to what Rossabi has in his book, the first demonstration did not take place in Sühbaatar Square. See Kaplonski's Truth, History and Politics in Mongolia, chapter 3 (RoutledgeCurzon, 2004) for a description. Two - why is just Elbegdorj listed? What about people like Zorig (how can you not mention Zorig?) Bat-Üül and Baabar. If / when I have time, I'll fix some of this, but until then I wanted to at least point this out. Much of the content of this page was just moved from other articles (for example by me). Without enough consideration, as it seems. I just added the names you gave, although I guess there may still some be missing (Gonchigdoj? M. Enkhsaikhan?). Yaan (talk) 12:06, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rossabi's book is not accurate.[edit]

He is not authoritative writer of Mongolian history, especially the 20th century history of Mongolia. His book is based on interviews with a few people.

Danzan bagsh is right. The first demonstration was not held on the Sukhbaatar Square, but in front of the Cultural Center for Youth about 1 km away from the Sukhbaatar Square.

With regards to Enkhsaikhan Mendsaikhany, he was not among the leaders of the democratic revolution. He joined the Mongolian Democratic Party later. —Preceding unsigned comment added by GenuineMongol (talk • contribs) 08:04, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And another very serious factual error was that some 70 people were injured and 1 person was killed during hungerstrike of March. The democratic revolution of Mongolia did not suffer such casualties. --GenuineMongol (talk) 08:10, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Biased sources[edit]

A lot of the article was based on Elbegdorj's biography so frames him to be the primary actor in most of the revolution even more so than clearly more influential figures such as Zorig. I've edited the article to remove some of this. Considering how easy it is to find reputable at least secondary sources on the topic, it is very difficult to attribute this very distinct feature of the page to lack of resources. I sincerely hope that it wasn't as politically motivated as it seemed. Anujinbat (talk) 00:34, 13 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
