it would be good to explain better the injury to jt, as it was accidental. just saying he was kicked in the jaw could lead some to think it was some sort of fight. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.86.102.215 (talk) 06:28, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

During several automated bot runs the following external link was found to be unavailable. Please check if the link is in fact down and fix or remove it in that case!

I'll give reviewing this a shot. Comments should be up in a couple days. Wizardman 04:29, 1 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

To start things off, there are some deadlinks that should be fixed here. Most of them you already have archive links up for at least, but add some for what's remaining if you can. Wizardman 03:41, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Here are the issues I found:

  • "Chelsea's opponents in the fourth round was Aston Villa." opponent.
  • " Drogba – on as a substitute scored the winning goal of the match," missing the second dash after substitute.
  • "Wycombe Wanderers was Chelsea's opponents" were. Actually I see a few spots worded like that, and my understanding is that it would be the plural when referring to a group/team, especially in British English. If I'm mistaken you can disregard, if not go through the article and double-check the usage throughout.
  • " before two goals from Julio Baptista, either side of Alex Song's goal put Arsenal" not sure what the second part means, maybe make that a bit clearer for lay readers?
  • Maybe it's just me, but in noting their competition wins and losses, "three times (1965, 1998 and 2005) and lost one final in 1972.", having one group in parentheses and one not is a little odd. I'd keep it consistent.
  • The report gets a little heavy at times with jargon (Diverting his markers, as one example), but it's nothing I would demand fixing for GA status (and nothing a bit of linking couldn't solve) since it remains readable.

Not much to report, actually. Very little in the way of typos, just a few tense and linking issues I'd like to see addressed. I'll put the article on hold and will pass it when the issues are fixed. Wizardman 04:10, 3 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I just noticed that (I think) the writer retired. I'll ask the footy project if anyone wants to take over; the seven-day hold period will still apply. Wizardman 17:41, 4 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Well, as the original writer seems to be retired and you asked on footy project, I did the changes suggested... Is any more changes needed? GNozaki (talk) 19:17, 4 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Everything looks good now, thanks for stepping in. I'll now pass the article as a GA. Wizardman 13:08, 5 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
