[edit]Somebody inserted a fake draw that I have reverted. The actual draw will not take place until Thursday 10 January. I am noting this fact here so that if it happens again, the person who reinserts the fake draw can be reported for disruptive editing. Yimingbao (talk) 00:00, 6 January 2019 (UTC)
Contention to overtake Halep at No.1
[edit]@Fyunck(click) and Yimingbao: Hi, what do you think about WTA source, which claims: "Should Halep take the court to play the match, defending champion Wozniacki and No.10 Daria Kasatkina will be out of the running to overtake her."
- Wozniacki *
- Kasatkina *
eliminated with Halep playing AO.
Now I counted points and it really looks like a mistake in case of Wozniacki's points, or not? Kacir 23:51, 11 January 2019 (UTC)
number one contention
[edit]There reads: In order to have a chance at overtaking Osaka, Kvitová must reach the final and Plíšková must win the title
Apparently, to be #1, Kvitova needs to win the title. I don't know about "chance at overtaking Osaka", but it seems that the one who wins the tournament, will also be #1. 109.240.237.101 (talk) 14:46, 23 January 2019 (UTC)
- Because of whom they play, Kvitova or Pliskova must win the title to get to number one. Osaka can get to number one if she reaches the final and is playing Collins. Fyunck(click) (talk) 20:07, 23 January 2019 (UTC)
