[edit]CheckVarOffside (talk) has made a multitude of unexplained edits. The only explained edit he made was claiming that I know nothing about League of Legends and this topic, yet he failed to address the points that I made while reverting said edits. I have explained my reasons on his talk page, and am willing to discuss this here, but clearly the user has disregarded advice given by another editor regarding his lack of explanation for his edits (he has been previously warned by @Xexerss here). Can this be addressed please?
@Pbrks, @EmeraldDG, @Nathalex1, @VernardoLau, and whoever else (apologies if I missed anyone), your opinion on the matter would be greatly appreciated. SpyroeBM (talk) 03:23, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
- (For some reason, I did not get an alert from your comment; hidden pinging the other users in case it did not go through for them as well) I agree with the removal of the swiss stage individual matches, Wikipedia is not a sports almanac. Wholeheartedly agree with the overall removal of the red/blue tables as well (this was something I was considering bringing up before this discussion was made). The sides in which they are competing on have no impact on the match, and they should be removed from every Worlds article. These details are better suited for Liquipedia or Fandom, which are fantastic resources for such information. While we're on the topic, we should WP:USEPROSE whenever possible, that is, get rid of the bullet points and rewrite it in prose (and cite it). – Pbrks (t • c) 14:55, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
- Hmm, aren't we suppose to following the similar formation from last year World Championship page? After all, I was just about to input the players rosters when there's no correction error on the page. VernardoLau (talk) 16:21, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
- Not necessarily. I wouldn't say previous years' articles are the highest of quality. We really should not be including the rosters of every team. – Pbrks (t • c) 16:07, 17 October 2023 (UTC)
- I agree that we should remove the blue and red tables on matches, the only difference between the two teams is their perspective of the map, which is mirrored. As for the swiss matches, i think it would be proper to add them (if we are going to add them, that is) when it is finished. I am not familiar with the swiss system, but it appears to be difficult to make a table form the start EmeraldDG (talk) 15:55, 17 October 2023 (UTC)
- You must have read my mind. I actually just made a bracket for it (User:Pbrks/sandbox#Bracket), but I wasn't sure if it should be added. – Pbrks (t • c) 16:07, 17 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Pbrks This bracket looks incredible and you should absolutely add it. It makes things extremely clear compared to just the table. Vanderdecken12 (talk) 15:25, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Vanderdecken12: Thanks. I've implemented the bracket. I also think it helps show how the swiss stage works. – Pbrks (t • c) 20:32, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
