how can we improve my edit

[edit]

i understand that my placement of the edit can be improved. can that be elaborated on? new to Wikipedia editing, guidance is appreciated. Samcat333 (talk) 16:32, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

One issue is whether the incident is really encyclopedic content. If you're convinced that it is, I'd have thought a new sub-section at the end of the Field section, called something like "Scott Stallings invitation" would be the best place for it. Nigej (talk) 16:35, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Personally, I would categorise the incident as utterly unencyclopedic trivia, and as such would oppose including it anywhere. wjematherplease leave a message... 16:37, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
understandable, the incident may not be of enough importance or relevance to the subject to be featured. thank you for your help. Samcat333 (talk) 16:41, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's probably worth mentioning on the player's article (Scott Stallings), since it's given him extensive media coverage (five of the top ten results for his name on DuckDuckGo are related to the incident). pʰeːnuːmuː →‎ pʰiːnyːmyː → ‎ɸinimi → ‎fiɲimi 18:04, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps, but it's still recent so that seems inevitable given he's done little of note in the last couple of weeks. Maybe see how it looks in a few months? wjematherplease leave a message... 18:16, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
i'm gonna let the experienced Wikipedia users do what they think is best. i'm new and editing a living person's biography seems like a bit much. Samcat333 (talk) 22:47, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
this seems to be a larger debate than i thought. i'm gonna let the experienced Wikipedia users do what they think is best. Samcat333 (talk) 22:45, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
sorry, i switched networks. i didn't mean to post the same comment twice. Samcat333 (talk) 22:48, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
