Dead ?

[edit]

It says he died in 2006 in the Polish wikipedia. [1] 96.253.25.23 (talk) 06:42, 13 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

So does a source quoted within the article. However, until we are 100% sure I suggest that we keep him alive per BLP. Coretheapple (talk) 15:32, 28 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've got his orbituary. Do you want I send you?

@Tommak: Please post a link here. Coretheapple (talk) 16:37, 29 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've got just the scan of the photo
I suggest translating it and indicating where it appeared. It may or may not be usable as a source, I don't know. Saying that someone is dead when they are alive is a serious matter, so we have to be extra careful. Coretheapple (talk) 17:07, 29 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Are you serious? I was contacting the polish sailor association pour confirm that he is alive or not, they confirmed that he is really dead since 10 years and for the prove send me this - it's the paper that you publish in every journal and you post at the walls. I can't give you other proves. As you prefere this german very poor source which was written WITHOUT any proves or bibliography given (I imagine it's written with the help of the website sport-references.com)is your choice but you do the harm for the wikipedia. Well done, in few years you can do the wiki page of the 110 years old alive and he will be still there! Tommak (talk) 09:25, 2 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies for having missed this, but I concede that this is pretty concrete proof that he is deceased. My confirmation that he was still alive was apparently mistaken. I will update this article accordingly. Canadian Paul 21:31, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
