Recent Removal

[edit]

There was a recent removal of information. How notable does a vote need to be before it can be added to an article about a politician?

@[user:Incredtent]] The question was not notable but encyclopedic. A random (how did you choose what you you added and what POV was behind it?) list of some of the many many things an MP has voted on is not particularly encyclopedic and - it smacks of WP:NEWS and verging on original research. If you want to deal with an MPs politics the encyclopedic way to do it is find a commentary by a journalist or an academic that discusses the individual and work off that. This is way more likely to be encyclopedic and NPOV. Secondary sources are always better than primary ones and some of the refs above are pretty light weight ones. I ask again. How notable does a vote need to be before it can be added to an article about a politician? Incredtent (talk) 06:27, 19 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
A user at the WikiProject New Zealand/politics talk page agreed with the inclusion of conscience vote so I have added it back in.Incredtent (talk) 06:16, 20 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I concur that in a general sense, conscience votes are always worthy to include in political bios. Schwede66 02:10, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
