Too many subheaders
[edit]Any wikipedia regulars have a better idea on how to deal with the multiple sub-header situation? i.e. Equipment->boards->alpine? My "list item" solution seems clumsy. Kjl 21:23, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
- looks fine, possibly even use actual subheadings so that it shows in the Table of Contents and is understood semantically as such. ∴ here…♠ 10:20, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
I would recommend adding some text explaining that the main empahsis of Alpine boarding is laying down a smooth, dynamic carve and while the majority of alpine enthusiasts use hard-boots, soft-boot carvers also take up the technique of Alpine boarding. ~~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.226.184.70 (talk) 11:49, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
Excellent point, 75.226.184.70!! While the vast majority of alpine boarders DO use hardboots, there does seem a growing segment of carvers who use softboots. It is too bad that so many "hardbooters" tend to only focus upon equipment, and not the technique itself, and overlook the fact that "alpine-style" carving is ALSO enjoyed by "softbooters". —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alaskan Rover (talk • contribs) 15:12, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
Changed "...seeking the 'PUREST' carved" to "...seeking the MOST EFFICIENT carved turn", as the term "purest" might be seen by some to imply a sense of superiority, whether intended or not...and I don't think the intent of Wikipedia is to be used as a springboard for such notions. "Most efficient" seems to fit well without that implication. Alaskan Rover (talk) 15:49, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
