We should have an article on every pyramid and every nome in Ancient Egypt. I'm sure the rest of us can think of other articles we should have.
Cleanup.
To start with, most of the general history articles badly need attention. And I'm told that at least some of the dynasty articles need work. Any other candidates?
Standardize the Chronology.
A boring task, but the benefit of doing it is that you can set the dates !(e.g., why say Khufu lived 2589-2566? As long as you keep the length of his reign correct, or cite a respected source, you can date it 2590-2567 or 2585-2563)
Stub sorting
Anyone? I consider this probably the most unimportant of tasks on Wikipedia, but if you believe it needs to be done . . .
Data sorting.
This is a project I'd like to take on some day, & could be applied to more of Wikipedia than just Ancient Egypt. Take one of the standard authorities of history or culture -- Herotodus, the Elder Pliny, the writings of Breasted or Kenneth Kitchen, & see if you can't smoothly merge quotations or information into relevant articles. Probably a good exercise for someone who owns one of those impressive texts, yet can't get access to a research library.

Article 'Amenirdis I' is obviously incomplete but is both inaccurate and potentially misleading.

There is no basis in fact for this statement.
The 'Chapel of the Adoratrice', (within the grounds of Medinet Habu) Amenirdis I's "burial chamber" was empty when excavated by the Chicago Oriental Institute in the 1920s - see U. HÖLSCHER, The Excavation of Medinet Habu, V: Post-Ramessid Remains (Chicago: University Press, 1954).
The chamber showed no signs of ever holding a mummy, royal or otherwise.
Queen Amenirdis I (ruler of Upper Egypt for approx., 42 years) wasn't referred to as an "Ancient Kushite princess" when she became Queen of Egypt alongside her brother, Pharaoh Shabaka (or Shabako). Why then is this article declaring Amenirdis I as being a princess when she ruled as Queen?
The hieroglyphs on Amenirdis I's famous alabaster statue declare her to be "Royal Daughter, Royal Sister, Royal Wife".
This Queen of ancient Egypt is important as a female historical figure - many of her titles being adopted some seven dynasties earlier by Queen Hatshepsut.

I have specialised in the God's Wives of Amun, the Third Intermediate Period and ancient Egypt generally and I have read that sentence over and over again, it makes no sense to me (though I understand the basic premise) and therefore is potentially misleading to anyone needing research matter.

Queen Amenirdis I lived, ruled and died during the XXV Dynasty of ancient Egypt.
I can't try to edit this page again but anyone knowing a little about ancient Egypt knows that this article is misleading and always was.
