Laughably biased

[edit]

This entry is so biased that one can't help but laugh out loud at it. The only thing the "author" of this entry could think to write about the ACLJ in the opening is that it is a pro-life, coservative Christian organization founded by Pat Robertson? One whole sentence? The history section is equally pathetic. The ACLJ has been around for almost twenty years, and the "author" of this entry wrote a grand total of three small paragraphs about the organization, with one being this gem:"ACLJ supported blocking the construction of the center through New York City’s Landmarks Preservation Commission, though the ACLJ in the past has opposed efforts (or what it perceived as efforts) to block churches in the same way." Nah, no bias here. None at all. Here is another "great" sentence from the equally skimpy European section: "The ECLJ is active in the United Nations Organization and in the Council of Europe, and represents the interests of certain Christians in the Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg." Certain Christians? Hmm, for the life of me, I can't figure out why the word certain was used in that sentence. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.141.153.10 (talk) 01:15, 9 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It is common to hate the ACLU for their extremism. One can see where this extremism if you take a minute and consider what they are about. They are about "rights" even if it means defending the rights of the despicable. They are not defending the actions of the despicable, they are making sure that the rights of the despicable are respected so that everyones rights are respected. The ACLJ is supposedly a counter balance to this supposed leftist liberal extremism. They achieve this and more. They are extreme on the right but pay scant attention to their supposed purpose. They are a blatant right wing religious PAC with a tenuous hold on truth and reason. I am not sure about the laws governing "nonprofit" status but I don't think they care much about that either. They head counsel or president (whatever his title) parades around Washington in paid limos, dines on the nonprofits dime lavishly and employs his own sons in high paid senior positions. A real family money making enterprise that only the GOP can love. I am on their email subscription list. You wouldn't believe the biased misleading drek that pores out of these hate mongers in the name of Jesus and fair play. To them Israel is part of the United States and not a entirely separate country. I just received an email calling for the resignation of Attorney General Holder for his nefarious refusal to comply with a partisan congressional committee and for using "executive privilege". This presumably is not valid unless a republican president uses it. What did they say when Pat Robertson was using his Christian mission in africa to helicopter supplies to Charles Taylor so he could finance his Child Army with slave labor to mine diamonds? You may remember Charles Taylor, he was the guy just given a life sentence at The Hague for genocide. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.125.240.130 (talk) 17:29, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
