Transfer to liverpool[edit]

There has been no confirmation from either team that Dossena has joined Liverpool. Wait until there is confirmation before changing his information. Thanks Dvyuk (talk) 13:53, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page protection[edit]

I requested and got this page IP protected for a few days. By then hopefully we'll know for definite some details, squad number, fee etc etc (and indeed whether it actually happens!) Ged UK (talk) 21:45, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Italian[edit]

He's not the first italian to play for the reds, that was Danielle Padielli last season. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.21.101.250 (talk) 22:45, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fact Board[edit]

I'm putting in a statistic board, but I only have details of domestic stats and I haven't got anything about his time at Verona. Any help on these things greatly appreciated —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bigbrenriley (talkcontribs) 14:15, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

His Soccernet profile (link at bottom of his article) will most likely have the data. Ged UK (talk) 14:25, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox[edit]

What is going on here? I've reverted again because the last user turned back the new infobox solely for the reason that it set the national cap update back by one day, no appearances changed. I'll fix the NCupdate into the new box: Please note that no cap changes were made previously and this is only a superficial change. Thanks. Sillyfolkboy (talk) 12:24, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'd still appreciate discussion to reverts. Sillyfolkboy (talk) 10:41, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If WP:FOOTY are changing the boxes, then fine. It seems that the first user revert was fine, and when you explained, they left it. The IP edits are annoying. If it gets too much from IP hoppers, take it to WP:RPP or ping me and i'll semi protect it for a couple of days. Hopefully the roll-out will have been completed by then, and they'll get the message. Their height edits as well make we wonder if is the same person who insisted on changing Babel's height all the time. --GedUK  10:58, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I got the impression that the user was the IP, albeit logged out. Maybe I'm wrong about that. I find the whole height issue bizarre and I keep getting dragged back in. In Dossena's case the height difference is significant enough to know that this is more than any feet to metres conversion discrepancy. I cannot distinguish whether there is (a) one angry IP pushing the whole thing, (b) a number of editors changing heights, or (c) a wide number of editors who think we have a problem with showing heights on Wikipedia. Maybe this is naïve but I presume that it's not the same Babel editor because he was a lot more willing to talk.
I am aware, however, that there are some foreign editors with a low level of English who simply cannot understand that it's not a good idea to (a) take info from foreign wikis and (b) edit a wikipedia where you are unable to understand the article, its sources, and its editors. I wish we could all sit down with a roast dinner and forget this altogether. I'll think about protection if it continues. Sillyfolkboy (talk) 11:21, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The user may well be the IP, but then again, maybe not. Only checkuser can tell you, and they won't run it for this i suspect. The editor on the Babel article was willing to talk for a bit, then logged out and carried on as various IPs. I like the idea of a roast dinner though! --GedUK  11:29, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
