Article issues

[edit]
Advice that the article "Needs copy edit and wikifying" was given in 2011 ( See: "Needs cleanup" above) and there are still unresolved issues.
  • Sources: The article uses primary sources that are incomplete at best and vague, lacking actual links that can be used for verification: All quotations, and any material whose verifiability has been challenged or is likely to be challenged, must include an inline citation that directly supports the material. and key wording is often overlooked or is likely to be challenged. Page numbers are missing which means there is no text–source integrity . This would be where Not in citation and Missing page tags would be appropriate.
The subject is reportedly a Professor of Fine Art and Head of Undergraduate Painting. The last certainly gives a presumption of notability per WP:PROF but Wikipedia policies and guidelines are not vague that sourcing is required for verification. WP:SOURCESEXIST arguments are seldom effective and the often used WP:NEXIST includes If it is likely that significant coverage in independent sources can be found for a topic, deletion due to lack of notability is inappropriate. However, once an article's notability has been challenged, merely asserting that unspecified sources exist is seldom persuasive, especially if time passes and actual proof does not surface, as Wikipedia, nor editors, claim to have a crystal ball. `` Otr500 (talk) 08:46, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
