Air Medal reference?

Is there any evidence for Mendez receiving the Air Medal? As it is given as a result of flying combat missions, and he was not a Marine aviator, I'm curious how he would have received an Air Medal. Balon Greyjoy (talk) 05:40, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
