Premier

[edit]

Is the time really necessary for the premier date? Will anyone care in a years time that it premiered at 9pm (shouldn't there be a time zone then)? Seems like unnecessary detail to me.Sween64 (talk) 11:47, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Angry gay activism on the article

[edit]

A little disappointing to see biased editing on the article, due to some being angered by the homophobic attitudes expressed by characters on the show. Their expressed homophobia is meant to show up the character's ridiculousness, and is not given in support of homophobia. Faustbol (talk) 09:43, 25 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"the video received too many complaints.to the video receiving a large number of complaints."'

Is this just a typo? What should it say when corrected? 68.108.146.186 (talk) 15:06, 4 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

How does the show "explore the issues faced by young males in the 21st century – their influences, their pressures, their dreams and ambitions"?

[edit]

Hi,

technicaly, the lede should summarize the article; however, there's no mention of "issues" in the article. Nor in the series really.

You make a reasonable point. I'd suggest being bold and editing the lead as you see fit. Jenks24 (talk) 15:30, 1 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
How about going from
"Angry Boys is an Australian television mockumentary series written by and starring Chris Lilley. Continuing the mockumentary style of his previous series, the show explores the issues faced by young males in the 21st century – their influences, their pressures, their dreams and ambitions. In Angry Boys, Lilley plays multiple characters:..."

For the price of a comma, the article gets to retain all other original language, with exactly the dubious claim excised.
That Lilley specializes in mockumentaries isn't actually found in this article, only in his bio page, so in one way it makes sense to connect the mockumentary claim to his name at least grammatically. As it's not terribly misleading, I've reined in my boldness at that.

Done, good suggestion. In future, honestly, feel free to have a go at making a change like this yourself if you want. Thanks, Jenks24 (talk) 04:49, 10 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Much obliged! T 88.89.219.147 (talk) 16:24, 10 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
