birth date and year

[edit]

There has been edit warring going on over birthdate and year and discussion on editors' talk pages (NOT on this page, where it should be) here and here, Dineshprakash clearly has a COI with regard to the subject of the article and should follow the guideline, WP:COI. That said, even the user him or herself has the right to change incorrect facts, per WP:BLP. That said, I looked and found no reliable source for her birth date nor birth year, so I removed both kinds of content from the article. Per WP:BLP nothing should be in the article that is not reliably sourced. Both parties are wrong here and both parties should stop disrupting the article by edit warring over this. Do not further edit information about birth date or year unless you bring a reliable source for it.Jytdog (talk) 10:50, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

spelling of name

[edit]

Seems like "Archana Gupta" is what reliable sources call her. Jytdog (talk) 17:48, 12 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The name is changed again? provided a valid verified reference for it?
there was no spelling mistake in the name. a verified reference was provided as reference which was removed by the other user.
the reference provided is also the recent from a verified source from 2015.
  • "Archanna Guptaa" - Zee Music Company here
a reliable source Zee music Company Zee music Company
  • all the above references provided by (User talk:Jytdog) are from outdated posts and each reference contradicts the actual name from other references. all the references provided have different sets of name which could be considered as wrong spelled for each references.
  • where as reference provide by me was from a verified reliable source from the current year, which was removed causing the conflict in the article edit.
  • please visit all the references in the page most of them don't exist and are very old. Hence asking you to consider this update to the name rather than considering it as wrong spelled
And requesting WP to remove all the references which doesn't even exist now.Rajeevsao (talk) 22:49, 21 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
the first time you came around many were indeed broken but i fixed them back then. every single link in my post above works. most sources spell the name the way our article does. If you continue edit warring over this you will get blocked. Stop doing that. Jytdog (talk) 22:57, 21 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think WP gives rights to anyone to decide whom need to be blocked by the users. you can't consider only your edits to be correct other users have the free right to edit the article in this platform. And a webmaster verified sites and pages are also considered as reliable source what i know. only getting the keyword from a page should not be considered as reliable because in few of the post the source images in the provided reference are of some other entity. and as time pass all articles needs to be up to date, it should not always referring to 5-8 years old post and that is why WP provides multi user edit platform.Rajeevsao (talk) 23:23, 21 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is governed by policies and guidelines and editors who violate the policies and guidelines get blocked. Don't edit war anymore. Jytdog (talk) 00:37, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Can you please explain why there are two spellings? Jytdog (talk) 00:46, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Let me know if i violated the policies and guidelines. its an open edit platform and verified reference are welcomed. but u deleting those verified references and undo other editors updates as its in the guidlines. Its really nice of you that u delete dead references but its not good to delet valid references.
and i am sure the question you asked is waste to answer even you know that. you can't question on the authenticity of someones name spelling. they can use Daniel or Danniell that none of our concern but, it is to the person who owns it. Hence rather than asking why its archanna guptaa not archana gupta or archanaa guptaa you should get the name verified by the person who we debating for the person on whom the whole article is about. Rajeevsao (talk) 01:42, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It is a real question and answering it can help you. Why are there two spellings of her name? If you don't know, please tell me that. Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 10:45, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Okay yeah I know it. earlier when she started her career she used name Archana Gupta. But after few years she took a long break from movies creating a wide scope for frauds making pages on her behalf even in the porn related pages. and now when she made a comeback she might have found an unusual activities on the name of her using name like archana gupta and archanaa guptaa. So she renewed her name as archanna guptaa on February 2015. believe it or not but this is the only valid reasoning to your question. I do understand the policies that no edits without valid reference will be allowed hence can't prove its authenticity but the reference i provided was a verified Zee music company used her new name in her recent music video. As per Maharashtra Jurisdiction she already been alloted with the New name and from this month all her Government accounts and license will automatically modified to her new name. Even the Government Doc file is available but that page is under Government Act and can't be used as reference. Thanks!! Hope you got what i wanted to say for any further queries let me know. Rajeevsao (talk) 13:16, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
How do you know that she has legally changed her name and more importantly, why she did it? Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 14:16, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Because I have seen the Legal copies of her Documents in which Maharashtra State Jurisdiction Legally renewed her New name. and why she did that is I don't think it none of concern for both of us that's her decision that we can say. Thanks Rajeevsao (talk) 14:54, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
