Sladen (talk) 03:08, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Where's this info from Sladen? There's me thinking it was one ship non stop for each journey, I'm being educated here. The devious BBC making me learn!. MickMacNee (talk) 18:52, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Pieced together from various tidbits; the GPS logs, interviews, gallery photographs on BBC/Flickr, industry forum posts, shipping/rail-freight timetables and the NYK container tracking site. Really should turn into into a proper fully-referenced log... —Sladen (talk) 23:45, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A picture of a box no less

[edit]

Nice work on the pic. Who are juntion-18? MickMacNee (talk) 23:40, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't really know. Junction-18 (I'd guess a nod to a local road) appears to be some sort of Educational Consultancy run by the "Andrew Shaw" I emailed. I went through the list of people that had contributed photos to the BBC's gallery of the container and tried searching based on the available data; in this case, using the name and "Paisley" was enough to get me a result, and the address for Junction-18 matched up with a building looking out on a likely industrial estate. This image is actually quite good in a sense, as the BBC logo is partially obscured, hopefully meaning that it can't be held up for trademark/copyright infringement either! —Sladen (talk) 00:31, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Lol. Good work. MickMacNee (talk) 00:57, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Got a couple more from the Freightliner PR department. Just need a photo of the box actually on a ship! —Sladen (talk) 12:12, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tinned Dog Food?

[edit]

I'm pretty sure that it was tinned cat food, rather than tinned dog food. Here is a link to an image from the BBC website that confirms this BBC box in numbers on official website I have changed the article to reflect the information on the BBCs website - I have not yet added a reference, would the image above be ok to use? Or is a reference not required? Superman768 (talk) 17:37, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I replaced the first link with a live link to the actual newspaper website. I deleted the second link completely as the archived link did not work either and I cannot find another similar link that actually works. --Jhertel (talk) 16:23, 23 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
