Diana Clare

[edit]

Diana Clare seems to have been Esther Coleman under another name. Source: https://genome.ch.bbc.co.uk/schedules/service_rt_national_programme_daventry/1935-12-08 In this 1935 video of her, you can see that she is also known as Diana Clare for her blues performances (at about 1:40 in): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4mHEcapPFg (also here: https://www.britishpathe.com/asset/66289/ )

Also see page 6 of this PDF of the Radio Times dated April 23, 1937: https://downloads.bbc.co.uk/historyofthebbc/RT-TVS-016-72dpi.pdf

And this too, including her appearance on Band Waggon: https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=iGhdCAAAQBAJ&pg=PT205&lpg=PT205&dq=%22Esther+Coleman%22+%22diana+clare%22&source=bl&ots=RCRDOf13tD#v=onepage&q=%22Esther%20Coleman%22%20%22diana%20clare%22&f=false
